As the Morning Joe conversation shifts to the regularity in which a president-elect selects for his cabinet perceived rivals over others considered close supporters, veteran columnist Mike Barnicle comments: “In 2008, when incoming President-Elect [Barack] Obama selected Hillary Clinton, there was a level of consternation among his close supporters that he was going to choose Hillary Clinton for secretary of state.
